Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles through your skin at strategic points on your body. Acupuncture is most commonly known used to treat pain but increasingly is being more aware of its functions for overall wellness, including stress management. and various chronic conditions.
Traditional Chinese medicine explains acupuncture as a technique for balancing the flow of energy or life force — known as chi or qi (chee) — believed to flow through pathways (meridians) in your body. By inserting tiny needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture practitioners can re-establish this balance of energy flow hence your health and well-being.

Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), a system of medicine at least 23 centuries old, aims to prevent diseases or promote healing of diseases by maintaining or restoring yin-yang balance.

There is a flow of vital energy (called qi) throughout the body via certain pathways (meridians & collaterals). If this is blocked, weak or excessive, disease and other emotional, mental & physical health problems develop. Restoring the flow of qi is considered essential to balance the yin & yang and, in turn, achieving good health & wellness.

She has had arthritis since she was 17. Nonetheless, she ran her first half-marathon at age 49 after only running for 3 months and planning to finish her first full marathon at age 60. She keeps her condition well under control with less frequent & less intense flare-ups by Chinese herbal remedies & acupuncture. She has also gone through a long journey of gastrointestinal disorder with food allergies & 6 years of postpartum depression. Her personal health issues are the strongest driving force to motivate her to make a life-changing decision to become a well-integrated TCM practitioner.

It will truly be an honour for her to be a part of your journey to health and well-being!
